W10827 Rare set of six Victoran footed tumblers or beer glasses with ogee bowls with everted rims decorated in the 'Roman' pattern with two bands of tiny tessellated oval lenticles and two rows of circular lenticles, on blade knopped stems. James Powell & Sons, Whitefriars, London. (Two shown). Circa 1900.
*The pattern was based on the decoration of a Roman bowl excavated at Leuna, Saxony and now in the British Museum.
